In March, 2026, Mary Mae Lewis and her husband, Chris, attended the Newcastle Mayor's Charity Ball. Mary Mae donated two signed copies of her books as raffle prizes.
Coincidentally, Mary and Chris met up with two other attendees at the Ball, that they know from Spain: Judy and Humphrey Scott-Moncrieff. Judy is now the Deputy Lieutenant of Staffordshire. Humphrey previously served as the High Sheriff of Staffordshire.
